A mobile betel nut seller prepares the betel leaves for his customer. Many people in Myanmar chew little packages made from betel leaves with areca nuts, tobacco and other things inside. This produces bright red spit which can be seen splashed throughout the city's sidewalks. It is said to be a stimulant, as well as an appetite suppressant, which comes in handy if one must work without being able to afford a hearty meal.
Joshua currently lives in Southeast Asia. While originally from New York, his international lifestyle has afforded him the opportunity to pursue his passions of travel and photography.
